About This Project

When a Kansas City school needed a durable, long-lasting casework solution for its in-house dental clinic, the Dental Academy for Children, the project architect suggested Shield Casework’s solid surface system. He said he found the modular design easy to work with to create the room’s workflow and that the clean and elegant look of white solid surface casework in the space gives it a polished look and helps the space feel healthy and sanitary.

A progressive client, the Dental Academy was willing to make the facility a leader by investing in an improved, 20-year solution that not only eases long-term maintenance, but also resists the spread of pathogens. The solid surface cabinets’ seamless and nonporous nature make it easier for them to comply with regulations and pass health department inspections versus plastic laminate.
