Shield’s solid surface pass-throughs are easy to clean and improve workflow for an affordable price. Our pass-through product line was created in partnership with Pulse Design Group, the University of Kansas Health System and Kelly Construction after they found that other pass-through products on the market were too expensive or offered a poor workflow experience for the end user.

Shield’s interlocking pass throughs are designed to be open on one side at a time, keeping the sterile field intact, with a magnetic automatic lock. Our workflow indicator lights show when a door is open or closed from a distance, helping employees reduce their steps and eliminate inefficiencies.

For example, in a compounding pharmacy, someone on the retail side of the pharmacy can use the indicator lights to figure out whether there is a door open or not, versus having to waste time to go and tug on it to see.

For an upgrade, Shield can add another workflow indicator light to indicate when product is placed in the passthrough.

With the help of our design and facility partners, we’ve created pass-throughs that are efficient, affordable and beautiful – that can be found in hospitals and healthcare facilities across the country.

Shield’s innovative pass-throughs give greater functionality for less money than the stainless steel options on the market. Solid surface also provides a cleaner, less clinical look and offers a variety of color options.

Shield’s pass-throughs are USP 797 and 800 compliant, with options for touchless automatic doors and HEPA filtration.
